A picture is worth a thousand words, as they say. Not that I don't have a few words to add (of course :) ), but the image more or less sums it up:
This is what really frustrates me about Sarah Palin and many like her, although she has come to more or less epitomize this sort of thing in American politics...she reduces complex issues into a soundbite, a smart line, or a folksy sentiment, while completely ignoring the many facets of the problems she addresses. The soda ban is a good example. Is it overreach to take these sort of drastic measures? Or does government have a vested interest sufficient to warrant it? I don't pretend to know the answer to that, but I do know that it's a lot more complicated than "shoot, it's pop!"
